How Little SEO Can Your Business Get Away With?

SEO Perfect CompanyDon’t Forget About SEO in Your Startup

One of the most significant mistakes that a startup website could make is to totally ignore SEO from the beginning. It is certainly a substantial task to try, especially when you’re new to online marketing, but we feel it’s an effort worth making, even at a minimal level. The primary reason why is that you’re giving Google an incorrect message right away. They will attempt to index your pages, and if your pages are lacking any SEO, often times they are either unable to index, index the page incorrectly, or because on-page SEO is such a big part of the search algorithm, rank them so far down the search results as to be invisible. That’s a shame, as there are some very easy methods for getting started with SEO that don’t require a full-blown SEO firm to get accomplished.

Heard about Minimum Viable SEO?

Priceonomics.com coined the term, “minimum viable SEO“, which means basically what it says: exactly what can you get by with in terms of SEO to start. Even though this is by no means an ideal strategy, it’s better than not doing anything. Below are some of the things they pointed out, along with some of our own ideas tossed in.

Decide on a keyword strategy – This will help you see not only what your site structure should look like, but also how quickly you’ll be into profit. One option is to go after the long tail of search, meaning keywords that are commonly 3-5 words long, often with product or model numbers. They don’t get a ton of searches each day, but are infinitely easier to rank for. Add a few thousand of these up, and you win. Another way to go is to go after a single keyword, like “auto insurance San Diego” you’ll typically be trying to rank only your home page. If you have a business with a local presence, always have local geo-modifiers on your keywords, as in the aforementioned example.

Use breadcrumb navigation – You’ve seen this on many web pages. It is a set of links that show where you’ve been on the site, and where you are now. This is helpful for the searcher, (which Google likes) and covers a good deal of internal linkage. Here is what it typically looks like: Home > Tablets > Apple > Ipad 2 3g

Use accurate title tags – Making certain the title tag on your page is accurate; which means that it is the keyword you want that page to be ranked for, is perhaps the most important SEO task to do. Using local geo-modifiers is critical here too.

Doing minimum viable SEO is a start, and much better than doing nothing. Just don’t allow it to be the end!

How Can a Six-Second Video Help Your Business?

Thought of using Vine for short, sharable videos for your business? If not, you should. Creating these videos is most likely already within your skill set and technology, as many are simply using their smartphones and publishing these by the boatload.

So what is Vine?

Well, just in case you missed the video, Vine is an innovative video sharing platform on Twitter that lets you create and upload 6-second videos to Twitter. So you may be thinking, just how can a 6-second video help my business? Well, check out some of the ways these companies RedVines, Urban Outfitters and Nintendo made it work for them!

These companies found a way for videos to help further their brand, advertise their products and services, and promote their businesses in different ways. They know that this service, that is trending incredibly hot right now, can do for them. One of the major attractions of a service like Vine is that getting your content in front of people is getting more and more difficult as people are less willing to take the time to read. Consumers are less willing to read, so a 6-second video is exactly what the doctor ordered, and you’d be amazed at some of the ways people are using Vine. According to Biznology.com, businesses are making use of them to introduce new employees, announce events, give an insider’s look into the business, and in some cases creating short commercials to display their latest product or service.

Publiseek.com offers more innovative options to use Vine. Some of these include:

  • Recording customer testimonials
  • Recording short introductions from the company principals
  • Real estate professionals are using Vine to offer a (quick) virtual tour of new listings
  • Restaurants are eating this up! Sending out daily specials and menus
  • Decorators and designers are utilizing Vine to display before and after pics

The possibilities are just about endless, and this is something that can be performed very quickly and make a difference in less than a day. Look into Vine today!

How To Attract New CustomersDo you have a business that was once growing but seems to be at a standstill now? If so, how can you keep the business going with new customers? Here are some ways to help you attract new customers right now.

Customers are the backbone of a business. They are the ones who search and find you and eventually convert from viewers to buyers. But, it takes a constant infusion of new customers to keep the business growing.

How To Find New Customers

Here are some tips to help you begin to make a change right now, today, that will benefit your business.

  • Re-evaluate your marketing plan – Every few years it is necessary to take a look at your marketing plan with new eyes. For online businesses, you may want to re-evaluate each year. What are you doing now? How can you revamp those marketing tools and employ some new ones?
  • Become a social networker – Twitter and Facebook are becoming valuable tools for those who want to take their business to the next level. Use your account in two ways. If you don’t have an account with either or both, now is the perfect time to get involved.
  • Advertise your business on your personal Facebook page – Post links to new content on your website and other promotional links that friends and family can view and share. Also, create a fan page for your business. Encourage current clients to sign up and tune in for special information or offers that they won’t find anywhere else.
  • Use offline tools – Whether you are operating an online or offline business, doesn’t mean that your local market won’t also benefit. In fact, with local clients, you can give them a personal touch that online clients may not be able to take advantage of.  Some offline tools include direct marketing, flyers and promotional items.

  • Video marketing – People love to watch informative videos online. You can take what you know and turn it into a visual presentation that immediately gives new clients a picture of who you are and what you do.
  • Create a press release – Are you about to offer a new service or product? Create a press release that will attract new clients to your business. Use a press release service and be sure that your content is SEO optimized.  In fact, you can create a press release and in minutes you can have it appear on the number one page of Google. Talk about instantly driving traffic to your business!

  • Create links throughout your website – There are always links on the first page because that is the one that every visitor is introduced to first. But, other pages are visited as well. Most people won’t navigate their way back to the homepage to click on a link they saw there. You can increase your client base by making it easier for them to take advantage of your offers.

What do you think of these tips and what other ideas do you have to bring new customers for your business?

How To Create An Irresistible Offer

Written by admin on . Posted in Blog, Marketing

How To Create an Irresistible OfferI few weeks ago I did a presentation about Creating an Irresistible Offer. See, it doesn’t matter what business you are in, what services or products you are presenting, you need to have an offer that is so good that people will be willing to stop what they are doing to buy what you are offering. Let’s start by defining what an Irresistible Offer is. Mark Joyner – one of the most successful internet marketers today – describes it as “an offer central to a product, service, or company where the return on investment is communicated so clearly and efficiently that is immediately apparent you’d have to be a fool to pass up.”

So what does an Irresistible Offer do?

  • It cuts through all the noise and clutter
  • It creates an itch the buyer has to scratch
  • It makes doing business with you so easy and obviously beneficial that you stand out from the crowd
  • People can’t move quickly enough to give you their money
  • It sparks the customer’s imagination and creates an urgent, gotta-have-it now, buying frenzy

So what are the elements of an Irresistible Offer? Mark Joyner describes them as the following:

  1. A High ROI Offer – every purchase is essentially an investment. And if your customers are not getting somewhere from you that is perceived as greater in value than what they are investing, then they are getting a negative return and you won’t be doing business very long.
  2. The Touchstone – it’s a statement that addresses as many of the following points as possible:

    • Here’s what we are selling
    • Here’s how much it will cost
    • Here’s what’s in for you
    • Here’s why you should trust us
  3. Believability – the bigger and bolder you make your Touchstone, the more difficult it is to prove, and the harder you have to work to sell your believability and your credibility. People have to believe your offer.

So how do we get people to see your Irresistible Offer? Below we’ll describe somewhat in detail the steps in creating an Irresistible Offer and how to drive traffic to it.
